The Anselmann family has been dedicated to viticulture and wine making in the southern palatinate area for many centuries. The first documented reference to the family dates back to 1126.

The current wine maker Ralf Anselmann knows to combine this tradition with modern technology and know how in order to produce his exceptional wines. After his university degree in agricultural economics he and his brother successfully started an own wine company. In 2010 Ralf and Gerd Anselmann were honored with the title “Wine Maker of the Year” and awarded the federal prize of Honour in Gold by the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.

Ralf Anselmann is an acknowledged wine expert. His wine tasting skills are outstanding. Therefore he´s often invited as a wine judge. In this capacity he tasted wines at international wine competitions in over 20 countries.
